Daniel T. Keegan became Director of the Milwaukee Art Museum in February of 2008, after a 9-months-long international search conducted by the Museum’s Board of Trustees and Korn/Ferry International. Keegan has eleven years experience as a Museum director, and twenty-three years experience in higher education administration and teaching. He joins the Museum after a successful career at several arts organizations, most recently in San Jose, California.

Keegan, 58, was executive director of the San Jose Museum of Art from 2000 through the end of 2007. He successfully managed the museum through a very challenging economic downturn while completing an endowment campaign of $7.1 million and significantly increasing the size of the permanent collection. He also increased annual museum attendance by over 113 percent to more than 200,000 visitors.
Prior to his work in San Jose, Keegan served as executive director of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Mo., from 1997 to 2000. He directed all operations of the museum, including fundraising, exhibitions, education and facilities. Under his leadership, the museum doubled its attendance to 130,000 visitors per year and increased membership by 300 percent.

Keegan has a master of fine art’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a bachelor of art’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. A native of Green Bay, he was educated at Annunciation and St. Agnes elementary schools and graduated from Premontre High School.

Maggie Tsai co-founded, headquartered in Reno, NV. Diigo marries an innovative online research tool with a knowledge-sharing community and transforms the web into a writable, interactive & participatory media. Diigo arose out of personal needs to read and digest large amount of information online and the need to share thoughts and interact on those information. Diigo has received rave reviews from leading IT publications, and many awards. Maggie is also an investment manager and has been active as an angel investor in a number of high-tech startups in US and China. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Derek Dukes
Derek Dukes is the CEO and Co-Founder of Dipity, an interactive time-based search platform. Derek is responsible for strategy for the consumer site, platform licensing and oversees day to day operations of the company.

Prior to founding Dipity, Derek was the VP of Products at VideoEgg where he managed the deployment of their video hosting platform on social networks such as Bebo, Hi5 and AOL. He also managed the launch of
VideoEgg's 'EggNetwork' ad network and built the sales operations team. As 10+ year veteran of Yahoo! and the 6th company hire, Derek was the original product manager of the Yahoo! Ad System developing programs for beaconing, behavioral targeting, streaming media ad serving and ad measurement. Derek spent the last 5 years on the consumer side at Yahoo! working on pioneering interactive media forYahoo!'s users through FinanceVision (now TechTicker) and Digital Home Services (now Connected Life) and holds patents in the areas of online advertising and interactive content systems.

Barry Starlin Britt is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), author of School Video News and President of Soundzabound Royalty Free Music in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Britt began his career in educaton in 1996, when he was recruited by K‐12 educators to bring new technologies and compliance to the education field. In 1997, Mr. Britt partnered with other organizations to help create and endorse the Fair Use Guidelines for Multimedia in Education.

Currently, Mr. Britt instructs teachers, students and administrators on 21st century digital citizenship. He is also a monthly columnist for School Video News where his articles on copyright compliance and media permissions and ethics for education are published monthly.

Prior to his professional career, Mr. Britt studied professional music and copyright at Clayton State College in Atlanta, Georgia and Beklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts.

Kai Ajala Dupé

Kai Ajala Dupé is an Adjunct Instructor of Programming at Kaplan University in Texas, where he teaches undergraduate courses in programming and database design. Mr. Dupé is a former software developer and technical trainer. His research agenda includes developing strategies for achievement and success of African American males. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from Trinity University and a Masters in Education from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas. Kai is a doctoral candidate at Pepperdine University where he studies educational technology.

Paul has spent many years teaching in public schools, training with the Minnesota Department of Education, and working in the education channel of technology companies. Paul has spent 20 years at Apple Inc. in various roles, including education development executive, senior account executive, and higher education account executive. Paul was an account executive at Palm Inc., working with handheld devices in education. He also worked for Atomic Learning, Inc., which provides web-based software training for students and educators.

Dan Merritts is the VP of Marketing at Eduify, a social network integrated productivity suite that helps students learn to write better and to research faster. Dan is responsible for marketing, product design and management and public relations activities at Eduify.

Dan’s experience in the technology industry spans enterprise operations, product marketing, product management and strategic planning. Prior to joining Eduify, Dan was the Director of Product Management at Zenprise. While at Zenprise, Dan launched two award-winning products for the mobile troubleshooting and management start-up. Earlier in his career Dan led product management and technology strategy for EDS’ Virtual Control Center, a successful multi-million dollar program that integrated and automated global workflow and monitoring platforms for the IT services giant. Before that, Dan was a senior member of Loudcloud’s global operations team where he helped spearhead critical service delivery automation projects. Dan started his career at Affinia, a pioneer in contextual web advertising, which developed a predecessor to Google's AdSense.

Dan holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Bachelors of Science in Operations Management from Santa Clara University.

Jeff Horney is the coordinator of the ide@s web portal, which has been an ongoing project of the UW-Extension Division of Continuing Education, Outreach and E-Learning, and UW System since 2000. Jeff is also the full-time learning coordinator at Cherokee Middle School in Madison. He has served as an educational technology teacher and consultant since 1995 for school districts in southern Wisconsin. He began teaching in 1985 in Massachusetts as an instrumental music teacher. Jeff holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
